About Tammy

Originally a financial planner with a securities license, Tammy Denison switched careers when she made the move from Plano to Fort Worth to be with her husband, Tim, and opened Happy K9 in 2012. “I’d rather deal with people’s dogs than their money,” jokes Tammy. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve dogs and dog owners. This is the best job!” In addition to her furbabies, Tammy has three human children who keep her busy with sports and activities. Tammy is active with charitable causes, and serves on the Board of the White Settlement Chamber of Commerce.

About Kyndal

Kyndal Hendrick has been a part of the Happy K9 team since 2013. Her great joy is being around animals and helping them to feel fresh and clean. At home, Kyndal is mom to Leo the cat, Nova the snake, and Paco, a 4-year-old Jack Russell mix who loves Happy K9 just as much as she does. Says Kyndal, “It feels good being part of a business that is so involved in the community; it definitely gives me a sense of accomplishment. I am proud to work for Happy K9!”

About Melissa

Melissa Do Canto has been grooming dogs for five years. She started in Fort Lauderdale, Florida doing mobile grooming. When she moved back to Fort Worth in 2012, she noticed a new grooming shop going in near her home — Happy K9 on Clifford! She became Happy K9’s first groomer, and a year ago, became manager. A full-time college student and devoted mom, Melissa says, “Tammy and Happy K9 were so welcoming…Over the years, the Happy K9 staff has become part of my family! I have always loved animals and being creative, so this was a perfect fit.”
